Although Tony Maglica was born in New York City during the depression is mother took him back to her native Croatia to be raised by family. In nineteen fifty Mr. Maglica went back to the United States. He was an experimental machinist by trade. He did not speak English, and had to learn it word by word. He wanted the American dream and in doing so made high quality items for the American people. He also wanted to keep the flashlight industry in the United States. He ended up saving one hundred and twenty five dollars to buy his first lathe. The rest is history and in nineteen fifty five, he invented the Maglite flashlight.

His company kept growing, but he still wanted to improve, design and manufacture a better Mag light flashlight. He did it and in nineteen seventy nine introduced the new and improved Mag light flashlight. People such as police officers, mechanics and firefighters spread word that this reliable rugged, anodized aluminum flashlight would change the flashlight industry forever and it did.

He followed the success of his Mag light flashlight with the Mag light rechargeable flashlight system, probably one of the most powerful rechargeable flashlights of that size. Then came along the mini Mag light AA flashlight, these are being used in hospitals around the world. There is even a Mag light flashlight that will fit on your key ring.

Mag light flashlight can be changed from lighting a small spot on the floor and with a turn of the head, will flood any room.
